Massimo Gregori Grgič

Italian writer

I am Max and I tell my stories

For the characters in my books I draw inspiration from everyday life, from people I meet by chance as well as from old friends.
In historical novels, I try to stick to the descriptions of the protagonist and their supporting characters that I find in the sources I consult. On the other hand, I give free rein to my imagination when it comes to fictional and supporting characters, who serve as a literary device to tell my stories, fulfilling a role similar to that of the chorus in Greek tragedies.

I try to help the readers identify with the story I am telling, to carry them across time and place. In other words, to make them dream:

and dreams don’t fade away until people stop dreaming.
