Massimo Gregori Grgič - bio
A full life: born in Florence, I lived in Monza for many years and then in Tuscany for two decades.
In the meantime, I’ve travelled halfway around the world, lived in the UAE and now I live in Biassono, north of Milan… which allows
one to suspect that counting my years might lead to a rather worrying result.
A lovely family, lot of friends, a creative job designing boats and ships, and many years of teaching on a postgraduate master’s course.
I have made bread, wine and oil, the miletsones of human history. I have always sought serenity and, if possible, enjoyment: life is always too short, even if it is long.
Hence sailing, golf, guitar, good food, good wine, a well-stocked library and, since 2007, creative writing. I have published several books, including historical novels, crime thrillers, fantasy and university textbooks. Other books are in the process of being published.
My style, say the more benevolent critics, is straightforward, fresh, gentle, ironic and has a journalistic key.
I write for the pleasure of telling stories. I write the books I would like to read. I write with serenity and enjoyment.
Nunc est bibendum, nunc pede libero pulsanda tellus…
(Orazio – Odi I, 37, 1)
